A new mobile app and website have been launched to support volunteers and charities in Middlesbrough.
TeamKinetic is our new award-winning and FREE volunteer management tool funded and available at the Volunteering Academy.
Charities and community groups can use TeamKinetic to recruit, retain and recognise the impact of their volunteers. They can also save time by contacting volunteers easily, plus reward and motivate them with instant feedback and achievement badges. Visit I need volunteers.
Potential volunteers can discover opportunities in their area uploaded by local charities and community groups. Roles can be filtered to suit the volunteer’s needs, such as the number of hours needed and type of activity, before contacting the charity through the app. Visit I want to volunteer.
Lesley Spaven, Head of Community and Service Development at MVDA which runs the Volunteering Academy project said of the launch:
“We're delighted to launch TeamKinetic to help make Middlesbrough a volunteering-friendly town. We've been working with a few local organisations to test out the system, its features and ease of use, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Already we’ve got over 20 volunteering roles from local organisations like FareShare North East, Tees Valley Together, Linx Youth Project to name just a few.”
Jenni from The Hope Foundation has trialled the app with their volunteers and had this to say about the experience:
“As the Volunteer Coordinator at The Hope Foundation this tool will be great for me! It's been easy to use, to promote and organise our volunteer roles and capture volunteer hours, which enables me to recognise and reward our volunteers' hard work.”
Peter, Lead Volunteer at The Hope Foundation said:
“I am excited to use TeamKinetic’s mobile app because I can store all my qualifications in one place, log my volunteer hours, and get badges to say that volunteers are doing a great job and helping within the community.”
TeamKinetic is already used all over the UK by volunteer-involving organisations including Liverpool FC Foundation, University of Northumbria at Newcastle, and Durham County Council.
Volunteers and interested charities can find out more and register for free at www.volunteeringacademy.org.uk or by calling 01642 803613 or email hello@volunteeringacademy.org.uk. Volunteers need to register through the website first before downloading the app.
