If you’re ready to start right away, look for volunteering opportunities using our free app ‘TeamKinetic’ or at the link below. You'll need to register first before downloading the app or applying for roles. You can find out more about TeamKinetic with FAQs and helpful guides on using it.
Search for roles in your area, filtered to suit your needs, e.g. the number of hours or type of activity, then simply contact the charity directly through the app or website.

Volunteering Projects Run by MVDA

Are you 18+, live in the Tees Valley area, not currently in education, employment or training?
If so, our team at MVDA can offer you a range of support to help you move closer to your goals. From volunteering, well-being support, creative arts and community groups. At MVDA we can offer holistic support to improve your all round well-being and journey towards your end goals.
Tees Valley Move Forward
The Tees Valley Move Forward programme, delivered by MVDA, offers support and assistance to people who are not currently working but would like to return to work, including those facing employability or health barriers. We offer a wide range of support, links with community groups and positive community engagement to make it an enjoyable and safe space.

We understand that each person is different and might require a different level of support to start volunteering.
If you would prefer to speak to someone about volunteering please contact us.
We can come and meet you in your local community and provide you with support tailored to your needs which can include identifying your skills and interests and matching you to suitable opportunities, completing application forms, contacting organisations and accompanying you to your first meeting with an organisation.
We continue to offer support once you have started your volunteering journey.

There are opportunities in administration, befriending, support work, working with children, mentoring, driving, membership of local management committees, conservation and much, much more.
