Save The Woman (STW) is an African-led organisation registered in England and Wales. We work primarily with women and families providing Advocacy, Skills and Empowerment. Vulnerable clients include offenders and ex-offenders, families with children in care, vulnerable people, especially the African, Asian and Minority Ethnic (AAME) Community but serves all Communities.

This is a 2.5 hour awareness session for all those who may work with a family where a parent is in custody or is at risk of going to custody. It looks a the legalities of parental rights and the challenges and barriers prisoners face in exercising their parental rights and remaining an active parent.

Giving our children the best possible start in life is something we all want to do. But do we truly know why the first 1001 days (pregnancy and the first two years of a child’s life) are so important and why it is a period of unique rapid growth and importance?
We are holding an event on Monday 27 June 2022 facilitated by Public Health South Tees and MVDA to share what is happening locally around Best Start in Life (BSiL) and understand how the voluntary and community sector (VCS) play their part in giving local children the best start in life.
