New leaflet to stop mate crime happening to vulnerable people

'Mate' crime and terrorism can happen to vulnerable people is the key message in a new leaflet aimed at young people and adults with a learning disability. It's been developed by the Community Safety Team and Adult Social Care at Middlesbrough Council. It gives signs to look out for and advice on what to do.

Carers in Middlesbrough to get better information and signposting

We are in the process of developing a coordinated website under the branding 'We Care You Care' which will provide easy to navigate information and advice for carers and professionals. The website will signpost people to the services and activities available locally for carers and provide local and national news and policy relating to carers in an accessible format.

Psychological Therapies and Wellbeing Services across Teesside

From 1 April 2020 a new Psychological Wellbeing and Therapy service, including current talking therapy services (IAPT), will be provided by a new partnership of organisations in Teesside.

This new service will be called IMPACT and will replace the current NHS Any Qualified Provider Model.

Sexual Violence Awareness Week

Victims of sexual violence are being told “you are believed” as organisations across Teesside hold a week of events to spread the message that sexual abuse is unacceptable.

Representatives from charities, health, policing and local authorities are coming together during Sexual Violence Awareness Week to empower victims and send out a clear message that Teesside will be saying ‘It’s Not OK’.
