Entries open for Tees Valley BME Achievement Awards

The awards ceremony, now in its 12th year, will once again recognise the wealth of achievement and talent across the area by honouring inspiring individuals and organisations at the prestigious event on Saturday November 27.
 
Judges are urging local people to put forward the names of those who have made the biggest contribution over the last year, from organisations working at the grassroots to stars of the local community.

Galloway Gardens being brought back to life with community wellbeing project

A community wellbeing project is giving local people the chance to learn and improve the environment in Middlesbrough with staff support from MVDA.

The project will see Galloway Gardens, on the communal land off Rainham Close in Thorntree, Middlesbrough, brought back to life and transformed into a tranquil outdoor space.

Help shape Borderlands creative growth programme

Borderlands is a major programme of creative growth, focused on the wards of North Ormesby, Brambles and Thorntree in Middlesbrough, and Southbank and Grangetown in Redcar and Cleveland.

The project will focus on significantly increasing the number of local people taking part in cultural activity as well as embedding culture as a part of Tees Valley’s approach to health, wellbeing, education and employability.
