The Volunteering Academy has launched the Volunteering Academy Quality Award (VAQA) which recognises organisations for their services and support to volunteers. The VAQA also helps organisations give volunteers assurances on the quality of their experience.
We ran a pilot with seven volunteering-involved organisations (VIOs) to test the process. Recent award winners include Fareshare North East (Middlesbrough branch), The Junction, Tees Valley Together and Teesside Hospice.
