MVDA is providing a free 2-hour zoom training session to help Middlesbrough’s voluntary and community groups protect themselves against attack. The session has been prompted following the second serious cyber attack in Tees Valley this year.
Hackers targeted local children's charity The Junction Foundation in recent weeks but they have managed to recover quickly. Redcar and Cleveland Council suffered a catastrophic attack on its IT systems earlier this year. Both incidents demonstrate the importance of having robust systems and procedures in place.
The training is planned for 10am–12 noon on Friday 10 July.

Throughout the session, the trainers will help you understand the content through real-life examples and most importantly by removing the jargon that can make cybersecurity seem difficult to understand.
