We are here to support, promote and develop voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough

Cyber security training for voluntary organisations

MVDA is providing a free 2-hour zoom training session to help Middlesbrough’s voluntary and community groups protect themselves against attack.

10am – 12 noon on Friday 10 July

Phone/text 07852 269670 or email john.atkinson@mvdauk.org.uk for a link to the session.

What will the session cover?
The session will be broken into three main parts;

  • What cyber attacks could a small charity fall victim to?
  • What simple steps can you take to enhance your cyber security?
  • What should you do if we suffer a cyber attack?

Throughout the session, your trainers will help you understand the content through real life examples and most importantly by removing the jargon that can make cyber security seem difficult to understand.

This training has been developed by the National Cyber Security Centre in association with the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA). The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) aims to make the UK the safest place to live and work online. We want to help you feel better armed to face the challenges of living and working in a digital world.

If you would like to cancel, please contact us before 9 July 2020 - 5:00pm.
