Women Today puts Covid-19 funding to good use

Women Today celebrate a grant award from the National Emergencies Trust (NET), which was administered by County Durham Community Foundation.

The grant has enabled the group to buy, bags and deliver food for local families in need in Middlesbrough and the wider Tees Valley.

Women Today’s vision is a world where Black African women are empowered, enjoy their rights and are aware of all the services and help that are around them with support from whole communities so as to walk in the fullness of their potential. Visit https://womentodayne.co.uk/ to find out more.

There are still grants of up to £5,000 available from NET and County Durham Community Foundation is particularly keen to hear from other BAME groups who want to help their community get through the Covid-19 crisis; visit the website to find out more: https://www.cdcf.org.uk/apply-for-a-grant/grants-for-groups/covid-19-fund/. MVDA is happy to help groups to make an application – phone 07852 269486 or email john.atkinson@mvdauk.org.uk.
