‘Every Step is a journey and a journey has many steps’
‘My Sisters Place – Stepping Stones peer support group has launched its ‘Stepping to Freedom’ project to and to coordinate with International Womens Day to help raise awareness, to support, inspire and encourage those affected by domestic abuse to seek support and to coordinate with International Womens Day 2020.
The Stepping Stones peer support group which meets every week at My Sisters Place, have over several weeks been collecting and hand painting stones with messages and words to offer hope, empower and inspire others to come forward to take the step and seek support and for survivors to know that ‘You are not alone’.
The stones are being given as gifts and people can keep the stone as a gift or pass it on to another person to inspire hope and continue to raise awareness.
Each stone comes with an inspirational card that asks everyone to take a picture of their stone and post on social media via facebook, twitter and other social media platforms remembering to tag My Sisters Place @MSPmbr on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtags #SteppingtoFreedom and #Stepping Stones.
