During the first lockdown, Healthwatch South Tees launched a survey to gather local peoples ‘Experiences of Lockdown’ of accessing health and social care services. We analysed the responses and produced a report which can accessed here.
This report, as well as contacts via our Information & Signposting service and community intelligence fed back from our Community Champions, highlighted a number of key themes we wish to explore further. As a result of this, we have produced another survey, in partnership with local key stakeholders and decision makers, that we would appreciate you sharing and promoting so we can better understand the following highlighted issues and barriers local people are currently experiencing:
- Experiences of GP access;
- Experiences and the impact of ongoing treatments and cancelled or postponed operations;
- Experiences of mental health and access to support services.
This survey will also be disseminated by our Community Champions to ensure we receive responses from many seldom heard communities to ensure local diversity is reflected. We will then analyse the data and produce a number of mini reports for each community involved, which I’m sure you will find useful to influence your work plans and priorities, service delivery and future commissioning, based on what people of South Tees really need!

We would really appreciate it if you could please complete the survey by clicking the link below, and circulate this to your contacts:
Here is an infographic for you to use when sharing this survey on your social media channels.
The closing date for this survey is January 8, 2021.
