This month has seen the launch of Empower Middlesbrough – an exciting new strategy to empower the people of Middlesbrough to live healthy, happy and secure lives.
The Council has led the creation of a partnership involving local businesses and organisations to make sure the people of Middlesbrough are the first to benefit from the many opportunities that numerous new physical and cultural developments will bring.
Together they will work much more closely with communities to find solutions to any challenges they may face. To that end, Middlesbrough Council is committing £1.3 million to funding community-led projects. We want communities to identify how they can improve life in their own areas, and empower them to do just that.
