COVID Cash Recovery is a free 2-hour course which upskills local community workers who are working with vulnerable families and individuals who are facing financial difficulties during this Covid crisis.
The information and signposting course covers:
- General entitlements
- Government and charitable grants
- Help with bills
- Money strategies for making it through these next few months
The information and resources are provided through the ‘train-the-trainer’ model allowing trusted members of the local community to signpost, and provide accurate information, to people in a flexible, non-advisory manner – allowing those trained to reach and help as many people as possible.
As we continue another period of lockdown, the course content has been updated and continues to be relevant to local community workers and activists, churches and community groups. At the end of the course, participants are given access to a wide range of resources available on the Just Finance Foundation website.
The course is delivered by Together Middlesbrough and Cleveland in partnership with the charity Just Finance Foundation. It’s open to all sectors and volunteers and they would be happy to consider a bespoke course at your convenience if you have a group of 8-10.
