This free course is designed to upskill local community workers who are working with vulnerable families and individuals who are facing financial difficulties during this Covid crisis. As we move into another period of lockdown, the course content has been updated and continues to be relevant to local community workers and activists, churches and community groups. At the end of the course, participants are given access to a wide range of resources available on the Just Finance Foundation website.
The course takes up little time and gives participants access to fantastic resources beyond the course.
The course is delivered by Together Middlesbrough and Cleveland in partnership with the charity Just Finance Foundation and is only contracted to deliver until the end of this month so please take up the opportunity. It’s open to all sectors and volunteers and they would be happy to consider a bespoke course at your convenience if you have a group of 8-10.
Friday 8th January 2021 10.00 – 12:00
Monday 18th January 12:30 – 2:30
Friday 22nd January 10:00 – 12:00
Monday 25th January 12:30 – 2:30
COVID Cash Recovery is an information and signposting course, the session covers:
- General entitlements
- Government and charitable grants
- Help with bills
- Money strategies for making it through these next few months
The information and resources we provide through the ‘train-the-trainer’ model allow trusted members of the local community to signpost, and provide accurate information, to people in a flexible, non-advisory manner – allowing those trained to reach and help as many people as possible.
We deliver the course over ZOOM either as a general session or as a ‘group session’ where people at your organisation can get trained (for free!) all at once.
As we move out of lockdown, our resources are regularly updated to reflect changes to legislation or support as they happen. Once you are trained, you receive a password which gives you access to all of the resources and materials you need to keep up-to-date and continue to support members of your community.
