We are seeking to recruit an experienced part time (30 hrs) Women’s Complex Needs Worker as a specialist representing A Way Out’s Liberty Service as part of a small multi agency Cleveland Divert Scheme. The Divert Scheme is designed to offer eligible and willing offenders the chance to engage with support services to address their criminality and the reasons for it, targeting low and medium level offenders and offering them a credible alternative to criminal prosecution.
A Way Out’s Liberty Service, consists of an outreach and a recovery program, aiming to engage women aged 18+ with various needs. The project’s prime focus is on tackling and addressing sexual exploitation/sex working and the wide range of associated issues i.e. substance misuse, homelessness, aiming to provide clear pathways and improve access to key services such as sexual health for women involved in sex work both on and off street.
Cleveland Divert is a voluntary, multi-agency adult offender diversion scheme introduced as part of the Police and Crime Commissioners strategy to reduce re-offending to give offenders the opportunity to address the underlying causes of their offending behaviour and prevent them re-offending.
