We are looking for a sessional worker to support and deliver open access youth provision in a very focused geographical area. Sessions will be held across the week, over two evenings for 4 hours per session, plus some weekend delivery as well. There will be the need for 2 hours’ office working also. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the beginning of a new project developing an offer for young people and the community. As an experienced proactive practitioner, particularly in the delivery/support of open access youth provision your communication skills, energy, and professional approach should enable you to quickly establish positive rapport with young people, the community and stakeholders. Confident in the delivery of youth work, you will be committed to improving young people’s lives, and working with them to address their concerns and needs and become part of their local community.
Dynamic, innovative, and passionate, you’ll bring knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with a wide range of young people and stakeholders and be able to demonstrate continuing professional development.
We are looking for the right people who can engage with young people, develop positive relationships with external partners, and have the ability to recognise and act on new opportunities when they arise. A creative mind and can do attitude will be a driving force for the right applicant.
