Tees Valley Women's Centre are seeking to recruit a full time Outreach Worker to increase their ability to reach out to vulnerable and isolated women.
Applicants need to be experienced in community work, have good people, communication & organisational skills, be aware of the barriers facing women, be competent in I.T., possess a full clean driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
The role will involve providing support to allow women to access services otherwise inaccessible for them.
Other duties will include raising awareness of the Centre's services, identifying, and creating partnerships, adhering to and updating protocols such as data protection, safeguarding and monitoring progress of individual women.
Please note that this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and it is a genuine occupational qualification that a females takes on this role, and the post is exempt under section 7 (2) (e) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975
This is a fixed term post for 5 years funded by the National Lottery Community fund.
£22,000 per annum & mileage payments
9:00 – 4:00 Monday to Friday
