Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) are recruiting for a Healthwatch County Durham Engagement & Signposting Lead
Job Purpose
- To support the residents of County Durham to get the best from local health & social care services.
- To ensure that Healthwatch County Durham is effective as an independent champion by understanding the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health & social care services.
- To gather the views and experiences of local people about health & social care services.
- To share that information with relevant partners and service providers, and to help to effect positive change.
- To promote the work of Healthwatch County Durham with local residents and key stakeholders.
Job Description
- To engage with individuals, groups and communities across County Durham, gathering robust information and evidence to be shared with relevant partners and service providers.
- To ensure a community orientated and co-production approach is applied to consultation and engagement.
- To support individuals to obtain accurate information relating to health & social care services, and to refer to support services where appropriate.
- To contribute to effective partnership working with all Healthwatch partners and stakeholders.
- To use a range of engagement and consultation techniques, including focus groups, 1-1 sessions, workshops, surveys and questionnaires, drop-in activities and online engagement.
- To provide written and verbal feedback to groups and meetings in relation to Healthwatch activities.
- To produce professional, accurate and informative reports.
- To use online systems for the recording of engagement and signposting information.
- To maintain and provide information as required in relation to performance and outcomes monitoring.
- To support the volunteer co-ordinator in the recruitment, training and involvement of volunteers as required.
- To represent Healthwatch County Durham at partnership events, networks and forums.
- To actively participate in promotion opportunities for Healthwatch County Durham, such as public events, on-line marketing and attendance at local activities.
General
- To be a positive role model and uphold the core values of PCP and Healthwatch at all times, adhering to Healthwatch England guidance.
- To operate within organisational policies and procedures, including confidentiality, safeguarding, information governance and data protection.
- To carry out all responsibilities in line with the organisation’s Equality & Diversity Policy.
- To actively take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and ensuring procedures are adhered to.
- To ensure that all work tasks are completed to the agreed schedules and deadlines.
- To undertake any training and development deemed appropriate.
- To undertake any additional duties required by your Line Manager or PCP Senior Manager.
