At an exciting time of growth and development we are recruiting for a Deputy Chief Executive. The Deputy Chief Executive will support taking the organisation forward as a leader in the provision of services for young people at a local, regional and national level.
This is a newly created position which is designed to shape and strengthen the organisations management structure so that we remain strong, sustainable and capable of withstanding the many challenges we face. This is a significant leadership role which provides opportunities to do things differently. After a recent review of risks, it was identified that, as a priority, we need to create a position which can provide back-up and deputise for the CEO and who can provide new insight, skills, and energy to take the organisation through the next stages of its development.
You will be a compassionate, collaborative leader who brings a strategic, impact-driven, and diligent approach. We need someone comfortable with being accountable in the CEO’s absence but also with collaborative leadership. You must be able to move from ideas and big-picture thinking to implementation; valuing the systems and finer details crucial for change and the relationships needed to drive it.
You will have the confidence and the expertise to deliver on our vision and strategy. You will bring strategic leadership experience, a high level of organisational ability, self-motivation and self-discipline, effective business planning and the ability to add value to what already exists and position us to achieve even greater success in the future. You’ll be an inspirational leader, bringing a creative flair to your work, harnessing the skills of those around you to deliver a truly exceptional offer.
You will possess strong organisation and project management skills, a solution focused attitude to problem solving and the ability to balance and prioritise competing demands in a busy function. A successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget is critical. An understanding of the youth sector, plus experience working with high profile funders and stakeholders would be a distinct advantage.
The post holder will be required to travel and work on both a regional and national basis.
