The Organisation
Nepacs is a thriving and long-established north east regional charity of national acclaim and influence, its primary purpose is to support people with criminal convictions, and families and friends who have relatives imprisoned or serving a community sentence.
Nepacs recognise that families of people with criminal convictions, and especially children, may become hidden victims of crime. The impact of imprisonment on families and friends of prisoners can be devastating, which is why Nepacs’ staff and volunteers provide friendship and support throughout that difficult time - from arrest through to release and resettlement in the community.
The charity has successfully diversified and grown during its recent history. It is in a strong and stable position, and has annual revenues of £2m with a good level of financial reserves. Current employee numbers stand at 86 full and part-time staff with a volunteer force of around 300.
Nepacs’ aspiration is to build on this platform, remain sustainable, adaptable and responsive to the needs of their service users.

- Working with the Board of Trustees to lead the organisation’s strategic and operational management, including taking the lead responsibility for raising funds to ensure that the organisation’s strategic priorities can be fulfilled.
