Justice First are looking to recruit a new member of their office team to take responsibility for delivering advice and support to asylum seekers living in Hartlepool.
We are a well-established and successful charity and have worked for the last 13 years to support people who seek safety in the UK.
The caseworker will foster a caring environment, sensitive to the needs of our clients where they will feel able to discuss their cases and receive a professional, knowledgeable and non-judgemental service.
The caseworker will be required to deliver an extended advice session in Hartlepool once a week. It is anticipated that he/she will spend one day a week in Hartlepool delivering the session, making visits and liaising with other organisations and one day a week at the Justice First Office in Stockton, completing casework, receiving supervision and carrying out administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and experience of supporting refugees and asylum seekers. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual with good organisational skills and able to work independently.
The post is for 15 hours per week and initially for one year. Any extension will be subject to funding.
