Nepacs is a regional charity which supports positive futures for prisoners and their families.
Nepacs has recently been awarded funds to develop an exciting project to improve the resettlement outcomes for care experienced / care leavers in the prison system.
We are seeking to recruit a Care Experienced Resettlement Coach who will work alongside our existing prison- based project team. The successful candidate will hold a small caseload and deliver intensive support prior to release and also 12 weeks post release in the community (for which travel outside the region will be required). They will also support the delivery of co-production group work sessions and the overall development of new programme resources and materials.
All applicants will have excellent organisational ability, working knowledge of Microsoft office applications plus exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; some experience of working within the criminal justice system is desirable. Proven knowledge of the care system, a relevant qualification in social care or equivalent and a passion for making a difference are essential.
This contract is to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months and is subject to Prison Service vetting, DBS checks and pre employment checks.
