This 2.5 hour awareness session offers a focussed introduction to the realities of sexual harm, including prevalence, offence types and the range of perpetrators.
Participants will explore why engaging with this cohort is vital to preventing and reducing future victims.
The session also outlines how individuals convicted of sexual offences are monitored and managed, the impact on their families, and the interventions and programmes available for perpetrators.
By the end, attendees should feel more confident having conversations about sexual harm occurrence and be able to see value in working with perpetrators and their families to reduce victims.
By the end of this session, you should:
- Understand the realities of sexual harm: Prevalence, Offence types, Perpetrators
- Recognise the importance of working with this cohort and how this can prevent and reduce victims.
- Have awareness of monitoring and management of people convicted of sexual harm
- Have awareness of the impact on families of people with such convictions
- Have awareness of interventions and programmes for perpetrators.
