If you are interested in working with others in Middlesbrough to develop a future vision for better mental health, join representatives from the Middlesbrough Mental Health Partnership and other key stakeholders at an event on Friday 19 November 2021, 9am-1pm. This will be an opportunity for you to join a conversation to explore what the key challenges are at the moment and to start to develop our shared future high level vision and priorities for Middlesbrough.
Specifically, we will be considering the following questions:
Identifying key challenges at the moment
- What stops people staying well, being able to look after their mental health?
- What stops people accessing help that works for them?
Developing a shared high level vision and priorities
- What would it be like if we didn’t have these issues? What would ‘great’ look like?
- What works well – so we should be maintaining it or growing it? What don’t we know enough about?
The event will include opportunities to network with others. This is the start of the conversation about a future shared vision and our key priorities that we can jointly take forward together. We see the future vision for mental health in Middlesbrough being an important development for local planning and partnership activity and will form part of the Middlesbrough Community Mental Health Transformation programme. We are hoping for good representation at this event from people with lived experience of mental health issues, those working on the frontline to support people and those involved in managing, developing and commissioning services.
This event and a wider programme of work is being co-ordinated by representatives from local charities and public services on behalf of the Middlesbrough Mental Health Partnership. Queries can be directed via general@mvdauk.org.uk on behalf of the working group.
Everyone is welcome at this event including people with lived experience, carers, frontline staff and those involved in managing delivering and commissioning services. Booking is essential via the link on this page.
