Africentric Parenting Skills Course is an online program helping parents to parent, organised by Save the Woman in partnership with Family Mediation Centre and Destiny Creations C.I.C. One of the cohorts has recently been sponsored by Together Middlesbrough & Cleveland grant funding under the BAME Development Initiatives 2021. Thanks to the members of the Executive managements for making this possible. It is a new course on parenting skills that offers a fresh approach to parenting and gives the information and skills to ensure compliance with laws and regulations in the United Kingdom.
This Parenting Skills Course is an essential knowledge for anyone that have school age children, nephews, nieces or grandchildren, evident from the beneficiaries’ feedback, this course has continued to enlighten parents and parents to be, especially new arrival migrants on the law and regulations in the UK. Following our early intervention strategic plans, we have safely protected fourteen children from entering the care system, and directly empowered and impacted hundreds more families through the Africentric Parenting Skills Course.
Following our intervention and early support of strategic plans, in the project’s first year, we have safely facilitated return of four (4) children from the care system, protected sixteen (16) children from entering care, and directly empowered and impacted hundreds more families through the Africentric parenting skills course.
There has been a lot of interest across England, Wales and Scotland local authorities. Through the feedback forms completed by the participants, it is clear the world of difference this Africentric Parenting Skills Course has made to the lives of families, for more information, especially those that missed our last event, please visit our Youtube Channel for regular updates.

Vulnerable clients include Offenders and Ex-Offenders, families with children in care, vulnerable people, especially the African, Asian and Minority Ethnic (AAME) Community but serves all Communities. We have prepared families by running Africentric Parenting Classes.
Partnership and Sponsorship is open to organisations and individual’s philanthropist locally and nationally, as we need more capital funding support to help us sustain the work of Save the Woman, create a conducive environment for the children and reduce the number of children looked after.
