Middlesbrough Unlocked event - stalls available

Picture of Middlesbrough Town Hall

Middlesbrough Council is planning to host a one-day event at Middlesbrough Town Hall on 22nd June from 10am until 4pm, called Middlesbrough Unlocked. The aim of the event is to promote education, apprenticeships, employment, training, volunteering, work experience and other support services in Middlesbrough, post lockdown to the public.

Stalls are available to education providers, employers, training providers, employability services, charities and other services linked to employment, education and training, predominantly in Middlesbrough. Due to the issues surrounding the new variant of Covid-19 in the North West, we have to work on the assumption that some social distancing will still be in place so stalls are limited to thirty, but this could increase so a reserve list will be compiled.

Just a few points to note:

  • Stalls: Limited to 1 x 5 ft table with pop-up banners behind
  • Staff: Limited to 2 per stall due to social distancing
  • Marketing materials: Physical materials (flyers, pens, USB pens etc.) to be kept to a minimum due to Covid - use QR codes linked to websites or collect details and email materials out
  • Refreshments: Not provided due to Covid protocol
  • Age restrictions: Due to some provision only being available to particular age groups (i.e. 18-24) these stalls will be limited as the event is targeted at all working-age groups
  • Cost: Free
  • Timings: Open to public 10am until 4pm - exhibitors must stay for duration
  • Parking: Long stay is available at multiple town centre locations
  • Public transport: Bus stops, bus station and train station is a short walk away
  • PPE: Exhibitors should wear face coverings, provide hand sanitiser and only hand out leaflets and supplies that have been quarantined or untouched by staff or other customer
  • Signing in: All exhibitors will be required to digitally sign in and leave details for Test and Trace purposes
