We are here to support, promote and develop voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough

Vaccine hesitancy - your views sought

MVDA is part of the Middlesbrough COVID Champions Network which aims to build on trusted partners and connections within communities to share knowledge and disseminate correct information.

We are working with the Council and our partners in the network to try and better understand any concerns about our communities receiving Covid-19 vaccines or barriers to accessing them.

We would like your feedback on the following questions using your knowledge and experience with your clients/ service users and local residents you work with:

  1. Convenience – can they access a vaccine site easily (their GP or vaccination site) or not?
  2. Understanding – do they understand how to book their vaccine? Do they understand where they are on the vaccination priority list?
  3. Do they have any concerns about receiving the vaccine? (eg safety confidence in it)
  4. What more could we do to ensure more people in Middlesbrough have the vaccine?
  5. Any other issues?

Please feedback your response to carrie.brookes@mvdauk.org.uk and if you'd like your contribution to be anonymous please make this clear in the email. Your feedback will be fed into future Covid Champ network meetings to help shape the vaccine rollout programme, and any updates will be shared in future Outlook ebulletins.
