MVDA is getting regular enquiries from voluntary organisations that need space to work from. Some are looking for a long-term base to be a main office or centre for activities – others are looking for spaces to accommodate activities either regularly or one-off events.
There are lots of empty spaces all over Middlesbrough; some of those spaces would make great offices, community centres, cafes gyms or dance halls. The Covid-19 crisis is already forcing some businesses to consider closing or finding different uses for their premises and some community venues are struggling too.
MVDA is hosting a Zoom conversation for anyone who wants to share ideas for ways to open up, share or re-use new or existing spaces in and around Middlesbrough. If you are looking for space, have space you want to rent out/share or have ideas about how Middlesbrough can make best use of its space, please join in the conversation.
