We are here to support, promote and develop voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough

Taking steps towards re-opening buildings and re-starting services

Many of Middlesbrough’s voluntary and community organisations (VCOs) are thinking about what re-opening safely means for them.  Clearly, there won’t be a standard answer that suits every organisation but there are some common questions starting to arise:

  • What should we do to safely re-open our community centre?
  • How can we manage social distancing in our building?
  • How do we keep staff, volunteers and visitors safe?
  • We can’t deliver face-to-face services – what can we be doing?
  • We have saved on staff and overheads but fallen behind on targets?

KEDA recently ran a useful webinar for VCOs exploring some of the challenges for organisations of all sizes.  MVDA will focus our Zoom catch-up meeting for VCOs on planning for re-opening and re-starting. It will be very much about sharing ideas, solutions and concerns – a lot of the answers already exist, we just need to share them with each other.

Join us at 11am on Monday 8 June to be part of the conversation. Get a link to the Zoom meeting by emailing john.atkinson@mvdauk.org.uk or phone John on 07852 269486.
