Food for the Planet Officer

Middlesbrough Environment City (MEC) is an independent charity that promotes healthy and sustainable lifestyles using the ten principles of One Planet Living. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic officer to deliver a unique campaign.

Food for the Planet is a campaign that aims to reduce the environmental impact of food on our planet by encouraging and supporting food outlets and institutions to serve more climate friendly food and less and better meat.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the campaign including project planning and delivery, partnership development, monitoring of outcomes, coordination with the project partner organisations and evaluation.

With a passion to tackle the climate crisis and reducing the environmental impact of food, you will have the ability to motivate, providing inspiration and leadership to others. You will require excellent communication and organisational skills and a have commitment to addressing climate change.
