Hart Gables would like to invite you to an event they are hosting as part of LGBT History Month on Thursday 10 February at The Crypt, Middlesbrough Town Hall, 11AM – 2PM.
‘LGBTQ+ Middlesbrough: Our Rainbow World’ is a mixed-media arts exhibition to showcase artwork created by a diverse group of local LGBTQ+ people. Through a series of workshops over the past year, LGBTQ+ people who are seeking asylum, are neurodiverse, have mental health difficulties, live with mental illness, have disabilities, are older, younger, out or in the closet, came together to learn more about each other and LGBTQ+ history, art and culture, and produce an exhibition themed on the colours of the rainbow flag.
Join Hart Gables to view the exhibition, learn about the history of the project, meet the artists, and take part in a choice of three art workshops designed to encourage pride and self-expression.
