Celebrating Volunteers' Week 2017 in South Tees
If volunteers make a difference to your charity, community or organisation then make sure you’ve got Volunteers’ Week 1-7 June in your diary! It’s the annual campaign to be part of, to thank your volunteers and celebrate the difference they make.
This year, we are marking the week by publishing the stories of seven local volunteers; celebrating the difference they make to the organisations they volunteer with and inspiring others to discover more about volunteering in their communities. Click on the images below to read each volunteering experience and join us in sharing their stories each day as we promote them on our South Tees Voices for Volunteering Facebook page.
If you want to find out more about volunteering opportunities in Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland, why not come along and see us at one of our Volunteers' Week stands?
We will be at...
|Hill Street Shopping Centre, Middlesbrough||10am - 12.30pm Thursday 1 June|
|James Cook University Hospital Atrium||10am - 12.30pm Tuesday 6 June|
|Redcar High Street||11am - 3pm Wednesday 7 June|
We are also encouraging everyone to take part in our Helpie Selfie Challenge. Whether you volunteer with an organisation, or just find yourself lending a hand in your community we want you to celebrate Volunteers' Week with us by sharing what you're up to! Write on your hand (or a paper hand) what you have done, take a selfie and share it. Tag #helpieselfiechallenge and nominate friends to do the same. Help us flood Facebook with snapshots of local voluntary and community action.
