Time to say cheers for volunteers!
To celebrate upcoming Volunteers Week (1st – 7th June) Middlesbrough Volunteer Centre is planning a couple of activities which we’d love you to join in with. Nationally NCVO is not running a campaign this year, however we felt the efforts shown by people stepping up to volunteer in the current crisis is too amazing to pass by.
Create your own Cheers videos – inspired by this fantastic video by Trinity Holistic Centre we’re creating our own staff video of us all saying “Cheers” with a cup of tea being ‘virtually’ passed between us. We’ll be sharing this at the start of Volunteers Week on 1st June, and if you tag us or send us your videos we’ll share them too.
Here's a sneak preview of us getting into practice!
We'll be publishing them on our Middlesbrough Volunteer Centre Facebook page.
#CheerfortheVolunteers on Thursday 4 June at 8pm
On the Thursday of Volunteers Week at the time we #clapforcarers at 8pm we’re all giving an extra big clap and whoop for all our wonderful volunteers across Middlesbrough. This is being done across the country, thanks to CVS Cheshire East coming up with the idea.
Suganya Subramaniaraja at the Volunteer Centre is co-ordinating activities, so if you’d like more information or to let us know you’re getting involved please drop her an email suganya@mvdauk.org.uk or call 0790 363 1060.
