The successful candidate will possess the following: -
- Highly developed leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and support staff
- Skilled in planning and coordinating programmes and activities that meet service users individual educational, social, wellbeing and developmental needs, setting targets and measurable outcomes.
- Proven competence in developing disability services in line with the expectations of services users, families and care givers, commissioners and the community.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience of developing relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Proven ability to plan, implement and monitor multiple projects simultaneously

Key Role
To lead and champion excellence in the day-to-day operational management of Disability Services at the Pioneering Care Centre. Not only ensuring full contractual compliance but maintaining the provision of excellent person-centred support and education whilst adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
To lead on the development, growth, expansion, and successful delivery of PCP Disability Services including Together 21 and Options.
To lead on and champion co-production and develop meaningful services that enable people to live full and active lives, regardless of age or ability.
To develop robust stakeholder engagement through business development, relationship management and strong planning to secure sustainable corporate partnerships.
To effectively interpret PCP’s Strategic Plan and translate it in operational delivery, achieving positive outcomes towards our mission of “Health, Wellbeing and Learning for All”.
Job Description
- To implement and further develop PCP’s approach to disability service and support, including leadership of Options and Together 21.
- To conduct regular service reviews to ensure delivery is in line with the expectations of services users, families and care givers, commissioners and the community. Implement any improvements to ensure the services are fit for purpose now and in the future.
- To be responsible for developing and maintaining operational delivery standards, procedures and processes across Disability Services. Ensuring they meet any regulatory requirements whilst promoting person-centred service delivery.
- To ensure that Disability Services are responsive to user needs, embedding co-creation and asset-based community development approaches, to engage current and future users of our services in development plans.
- To design, develop and deliver relevant training to staff and volunteers to ensure best practice, update skills and enable personal and professional development of teams.
- To develop staff teams across Disability Services. Role modelling best practice, providing effective leadership, setting a clear direction, coaching and performance managing teams to help them to flourish.
- Plan and coordinate programmes and activities that meets service users individual educational, social, wellbeing and developmental needs, setting targets and measurable outcomes.
- To lead on stakeholder relationship development for all Disability Services. Including maintaining effective strategic and operational relationships with service users, care givers, funders, commissioners and wider stakeholders.
- To ensure a strong commercial focus, sourcing additional income for services as required, maximalising grant, corporate social responsibility and income generation opportunities through working with local partners.
- To deliver against an annual plan and agreed budget, setting appropriate monitoring and financial targets to ensure the disability services operate effectively and achieve best value.
- Work collaboratively with PCP’s Enterprise Managers to ensure users of Day Services have opportunities to gain learning experiences, across a range of areas.
- To oversee all disability services based at the Pioneering Care Centre, ensuring they are fit for purpose and delivered against objectives and in-line with internal and external expectations.
- To create, plan, resource and deliver an expansion plan for disability services with clear outcomes and achievable performance targets.
- To implement continuous improvement activities to meet, and where possible exceed, all internal and external quality standards, ensuring compliance and continuously strive for excellence.
- To conduct research and gather intelligence to understand the market, including identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities, informing project planning, sustainability, and service development.
- To develop and implement a marketing plan for the Disability Services, lead on networking and raising the profile of the work of PCP’s person-centred approach to supporting people with learning disabilities, across a range of audiences.
- To work with PCP’s marketing team, ensure messaging is consistent and engaging.
