Nepacs is a regional charity which supports positive futures for prisoners and their families.
HMP Durham Visitors’ Centre is run by staff and volunteers from Nepacs and is open 7 days per week.
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Team Leader to ensure that visitors to HMP Durham receive a warm welcome and the information and support they need. Applicants should have previous experience of motivating and leading a team of staff ensuring deadlines and timescales are adhered to. You should be a motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader who can demonstrate flexibility in your role and lead by example.
Working with and managing experienced staff and volunteers to cover a rota including weekend sessions, the Team Leader is responsible for co-ordinating facilities for visitors within the centre and in the visits hall, including facilities for children and young people and refreshment services.
The Team Leader will work closely with the other Nepacs and prison staff to ensure those families who require additional help receive the assistance they need.
