Nepacs has been successful with six Local Authority areas to provide Independent Visitors services to look after children and young people in the care system.
We are looking for a forward thinking and dynamic person to oversee this important service.
The successful candidate will receive and action referrals from local authority partners then match children and young people to an independent visitor volunteer, coordinating all arrangements once the match is made. This role will support the recruitment, training and support of volunteers in this worthwhile role.
The successful candidate will be part of a multi-agency team, they will hold the caseload of children and young people referred to the service and ensure delivery of a high standard.
All applicants will have excellent organisational ability, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications plus exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; some experience of working with children and young people, and volunteers would be an advantage. A passion for making a difference is essential.
This contract is fixed term and is subject to DBS enhanced and pre-employment checks.
