Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) are recruiting for a Healthwatch South Tees (HWST) Communications Officer
Job Purpose:
1. To be responsible for leading on the digital presence and communication for HWST
ensuring trustworthy information is credible in representing the views of local people and
amplifying their voice.
2. To provide high-level administrative support for the HWST team and relevant activities.
3. Contribute to the delivery and development of the Information and Signposting function to
inform the public about complaints and access to local health and social care services.
4. Support the implementation of the HWST communication strategy in all aspects of our
work.
5. Ensure connections are made with relevant key internal and external stakeholders who
can positively support key strategic communications in partnership as well as the
promotion of HWST work.
Job Description
1. Lead HWST communications activity, working with other colleagues internally and
externally as appropriate in line with Healthwatch England branding guidelines.
2. Lead on the production of supporting graphics for our work that highlight key messages
and promoted through a variety of digital platforms.
3. Lead on the production of a monthly e-bulletin publication and regular social media and
website content.
4. Develop innovative and creative ways in the marketing of HWST as well as the
engagement of the communities we support.
5. Minute key meetings, coordinate the production and distribution of correspondence,
reports and papers as required internally and externally in a timely manner.
6. Administratively support all aspects of the HWST volunteer, Champion and Board
governance, recruitment, induction, and training processes.
7. Administratively support HWST events, consultation, engagement production of reports
and Enter and View activities.
8. To assist in the delivery of an effective Information and Signposting function.
9. Develop relationships with relevant key internal and external stakeholders who can
positively support the promotion of HWST work through a range of mechanisms.
10. Attend and participate in a range of relevant networks, forums and partnerships to
further the objectives of HWST, amplifying the voice of local people.
11. Input relevant information in to developed mechanisms that captures local and project
intelligence that contributes to quarterly internal and external monitoring processes.
12. Support the completion of risk assessment for relevant HWST activities
General
1. To be a positive role model and to operate within the policies and procedures of PCP
and HWST. Including but not exclusive to Health and Safety, Safeguarding and
responsibilities in line with PCP’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
2. Respect and adhere to Healthwatch England (HWE) guidance.
3. To be an ambassador for PCP and HWST at all times ensuring the core values and
principles of each individual Healthwatch and PCP are upheld in all aspects of
Healthwatch activity.
4. Ensure quality standards are developed and maintained.
5. Undertake training in line with organisational requirements and development plans
agreed with your line manager.
6. Take responsibility for meeting all relevant targets and deadlines.
7. Participate fully as a member of the staff team, attending meetings, sharing information
and providing support in the event of staff absence or sickness.
8. Contribute to PCP’s organisational planning and policy.
9. Contribute to the maintenance of a working environment in which diversity is respected
and equality of opportunity is promoted.
