2 x Community Development Workers
22.5hrs – 30hrs per week
Starting Salary £22,509 per annum pro-rata
Salary Scale £22,509 - £24,176 per annum pro-rata
Fixed Term until 31/03/2024
As part of the NHS long term plan, the Pioneering Care Partnership have secured funding for x 2 Community Development Worker posts. This a new and exciting role which will require a highly motivated individual to support local communities to bring about change and improve the quality of life in relation to mental health. The successful post holders will act as a link between communities and a range of local services such as voluntary care sectors, NHS mental health services, local authority, and police etc. communication skills to build relationships with local people in hard-to-reach areas. The role will involve organising and planning delivery of pop-up support in accordance with identified community need.
We are looking to appoint someone that has:
- An understanding of mental health or lived experience
- Experience of supporting individuals in both 1:1 and group settings
- The ability to recognises own limitations and makes judgements within level of own competency escalates to more senior staff/professionals
- Ability to work with people from a range of backgrounds and handle information sensitively
- Can work as part of a multi-agency team
