Head of Bereavement Counselling
We have an exciting opportunity for a BACP/UKCP (or equivalent) accredited and experienced Counsellor to head up the Bereavement Counselling Services at Teesside Hospice. This post provides the opportunity to work both within Adult Bereavement Counselling & Children and Young Adults Service.
The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership to the counselling team and volunteer counsellors and contribute to the strategic development of the organisation.
As Head of the Bereavement Counselling service, you will be responsible for providing quality clinical supervision to our team of counselling staff and volunteers to ensure our service is safe, meets the needs of our clients and is in line with industry standards.
Experience of working in a healthcare organisational setting and contributing to multi-disciplinary team working is important. We are looking for someone who is naturally proactive and positive with a desire to inspire and lead by example. The ideal person will also share our values.
The Counselling service has been through a transition over the last couple of years but there is still scope for the right person to continue the transformation of our services. The role will be key in developing and implementing our shared vision to widen our reach further into our hospice community.
