At Teesside Hospice we believe the quality of care at the end of life is just as important as at the start. We want to make sure nobody in Teesside dies scared or in pain. We won’t stop until everyone has access to the care they need and deserve.
It’s a big ask that costs a lot of money and that’s why we have an ambitious growth plan to meet the ever-increasing cost of our services.
So if you’re up for a challenge and care deeply about local people, then this is likely to be a great job for you.
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Head of Fundraising who can help Teesside Hospice develop long-term sustainable income streams. Spanning across Community, Events, Individual Giving, Lottery & Digital Fundraising this is new role that has received investment as part of our long-term growth plan to maximise the amazing support that our community offers us. You will bring a passion for supporter engagement and building relationships, a passion for innovation and a creative flair to bring new ideas and to shape the exciting future of fundraising at Teesside Hospice.
This is a hands-on role and you’ll need to be comfortable thinking strategically whilst working ‘on the ground’, be a confident public figure, working with your teams supporting events, meeting supporters, volunteers and corporate partners and working with staff and teams from across the hospice. You will bring strong fundraising experience along with sound financial acumen, the ability to plan and strategise, the ability to measure and drive performance, all whilst fostering a positive and supportive team culture.
You are likely to have significant experience of at least two or more ‘traditional’ fundraising income disciplines (e.g. corporate, community, events, major donor, trusts, individual giving) and you will definitely be great at people management. You have a proven track record in significantly growing income and you will already possess a gravitas that will inspire confidence from supporters and colleagues alike.
