Rooted in Nature is a fantastic new project, funded by NHS Charities Together, aimed at helping people to enjoy nature-based activities as part of looking after and improving their health and wellbeing. We will be working with people who wouldn’t usually consider nature-based activities and who have health and other challenges in their lives that can be a barrier.
The project aims are to: improve health and wellbeing of those who participate; to increase connection between health and nature and understand more about what works in doing this; and to understand more about how linking health services with nature-based projects and activities using a Social Prescribing model can increase both health and wellbeing and the sustainability of community activity.
As Project Lead you will play a pivotal role in making sure this project is a success. It’s a varied and stimulating role. You will support collaborative working with partners, promote nature-based opportunities to referrers and in the community, including to health professionals, work alongside and support individuals and families to access nature-based activities using a Social Prescribing approach, and gather insights and learning from the project. Our focus is on quality and learning. We’re looking for someone with broad project delivery experience.
Closing date for applications is Tuesday 9th November, 9am.
Interviews are schedules for Thursday 18th and Friday 19th November.
