Young Carers Service Coordinator
Salary £28,037, 3% cost of living increase per year subject to funding. Plus 38 days annual leave per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
37.5 hours per week

We have a long history of providing high quality support to Young Carers (children and young people under the age of 18 with a caring responsibility) and their families across South Tees (Redcar and Cleveland and Middlesbrough area). We have a successful track record including our current service delivery model, a highly experienced and skilled staff team and strong local connections and relationships. Our Short Breaks Service has been operating for two years in Redcar and Cleveland and provides support to children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.
As our current service coordinator is moving on, we are now seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated leader to lead the Young Carers Service and Short Breaks into the future. The right candidate will have experience in a leadership role within children and young people’s services (with knowledge of the voluntary and community sector an advantage). The ability to support and develop staff teams including support and supervision, performance and staff development and the passion and the motivation to build upon and maintain effective relationships and communication with families, commissioners, funders, supporters and stakeholders. You will also work alongside the Youth and Participation Lead to respond to the changing demands and requirements of the service and inform service redesign.
