22.5 hours per week
Salary £16,869 per annum
(£27,741 pro rata)
Carers Together Foundation is an organisation dedicated to improving carers’ quality of life. We listen to carers, give them a voice, provide information, practical and emotional support and promote carers’ rights across the South Tees area.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Welfare Rights Team, providing a direct case-work service that aims to maximise the income of carers and their families.
The postholder will join a busy team providing an effective, efficient and comprehensive welfare rights service, working in partnership with carers, colleagues and staff in other sectors and organisations. The postholder will work from our offices in Redcar and Middlesbrough and may be required to visit community settings, including the homes of clients.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- experience of providing a direct casework service which aims to maximise benefit entitlement
- experience of advocating, writing appeal submissions and presenting cases at tribunals/hearings
- knowledge of current and emerging relevant legislation, case law and guidance.
