Youth Focus North East is developing its youth work provision and have vacancies for Sessional Youth Workers, to add to our team working in Middlesbrough.
We are looking for a pool of youth workers to support and deliver open access youth provision across Tees Valley. Sessions will be held across the week including some day time, evenings and weekend work of up to 4 hours per session. We welcome applications for any combination of sessions from 1 to 4 days/evenings. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the beginning of a range of developing youth work provision within Youth Focus North East, working across East Middlesbrough with our partner agencies.
Applicants will be required to hold either a relevant qualification or demonstrate a wide range youth work of experience; and have a clear understanding of evidence based practice, youth work methodology and young people’s rights.
As an experienced proactive practitioner, particularly in the delivery/support of open access youth provision your communication skills, energy, and professional approach should enable you to quickly establish positive rapport with young people and stakeholders. Confident in the delivery of youth work, you will be committed to improving young people’s lives, and working with them to address their concerns and needs.
Dynamic, innovative, and passionate, you’ll bring knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with a wide range of young people and stakeholders and be able to demonstrate continuing professional development.
We are looking for the right people who can engage with young people, develop positive relationships with external partners, and have the ability to recognise and act on new opportunities when they arise.
