Young Women’s Project Worker
An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Young Women’s Project Worker in our Blossom Project to meet and build relationships with vulnerable young women, holding a caseload of offering practical and emotional support to encourage and motivate change. A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity with a difference which aims to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.
The Blossom project is an established outreach and engagement service targeted to support young women aged 16-24 years who experience multiple disadvantages and are at significant risk of poor outcomes. The service works to build emotional resilience and to encourage positive life choices, with the aim of preventing young women being vulnerable to exploitation and abuse and progressing into survival sex work.
The project, delivered within a multi-agency framework of referrals, outreach, in-reach, low threshold drop-ins, group work and one to one support, intending to enhance the lifestyles of young women, whilst raising their long-term aspirations.
It is an Occupational Requirement that applications for these posts are open to women only, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, or the Equality Act 2010. Enhanced DBS checks will be required and the job holder is required to hold a full driving license and have access to their own vehicle during working hours.
