The Junction is a respected charity striving to make a difference to the lives of local children, young people and their families across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. Originally founded in 1991 we have a long history of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community and we are looking for passionate and committed people to join our team to support the life changing work we do.
We are one of the largest local charities supporting children and young people with an annual income of over £1million and a workforce of over 50 passionate professionals, from a range of backgrounds, working across our 4 sites.
Each year we support over 2000 children, young people and their families through an array of services, including: Young Carers’ Services, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Services, Youth Employment Services, Youth Work – Social Action and Participation Services and we provide a specialist transport service exclusively for children and young people.
OUTREACH WORKER (PATHWAYS TO WELLNESS)
We are looking for an organised, flexible, and approachable individual to join our Emotional Wellbeing team. The Outreach Worker will work with children, young people and families to identify and support them into community-based opportunities that align with their interests, needs and abilities. You will also build effective relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues and community organisations to achieve positive and sustained outcomes for individuals who have experience poor mental health.
HOURS: 15 Hours per week
CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term until 30th November 2022
RESPONSIBLE TO: Project Coordinator (Pathways to Wellness) / Service Manager
