Youth Focus: North East have a full time vacancy for a Youth Worker. The role of the Youth Worker will be to coordinate, deliver and evaluate activities within our Big Lottery Funded Youth Investment Fund project, with the aim of developing and expanding open youth provision across the Tees Valley area.
Applicants will be required to hold a professional qualification, or be working towards a recognised occupational qualification relevant to the role, and have a clear understanding of evidence based practice, youth work methodology and young people’s rights.
As an experienced proactive practitioner your communication skills, energy, and professional approach should enable you to quickly establish positive rapport with young people and stakeholders. Confident in the delivery of youth work, you will be committed to improving young people’s lives, and working with them to address their concerns and needs.
Dynamic, innovative, and passionate, you’ll bring knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with a wide range of young people and stakeholders.
We are looking for the right person who can engage with young people, develop positive relationships with external partners.
