The Junction is a respected charity striving to make a difference to the lives of local children, young people and their families across Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland. Originally founded in 1991 we have a long history of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community and we are looking for passionate and committed people to join our team to support the life changing work we do.
We are one of the largest local charities supporting children and young people with an annual income of over £1million and a workforce of over 50 passionate professionals, from a range of backgrounds, working across our 4 sites.
Each year we support over 2000 children, young people and their families through an array of services, including: Young Carers’ Services, Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Services, Youth Employment Services, Youth Work – Social Action and Participation Services and we provide a specialist transport service exclusively for children and young people.
Our Children and Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing Service provides a wide range of clinical and therapeutic interventions including specialist children and young people’s counselling, one-to-one and group based support in schools and in the community as well as evidence based therapies through our Children and Young People Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP IAPT). We are currently looking to recruit to our team through the CYP IAPT programme.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Trainee IAPT
Successful applicants will complete an academic programme developed and delivered by Northumbria University during their first year in post, alongside providing evidence based low intensity CBT interventions with children, young people and parents as part of the service. Trainee posts are to begin January 2020 and will be a fixed term for 12 months.

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week - Fixed Term for 12 Months commencing January 2020
