Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) are recruiting for a Project Activity Worker
Responsible to: Project Lead
Accountable to: PCP Chief Executive & Board of Trustees
Located: Pioneering Care Partnership, Newton Aycliffe
Hours: 30 hours per week over 5 days including Saturdays and 1 evening
Term: Permanent
DBS Status: Enhanced with barring
Job Purpose:
1. To support the Project Lead & Project Co-Ordinator in the planning and delivery of an aspirational, person-centered activity programme for children and adults with disabilities aimed at promoting independence, choice and encouraging development of new skills and confidence.
2. To lead on the planning and delivery of a innovative learning programme for the T21 Primary and Life skills groups on a Saturday.
3. To support the development of our new evening sports & social club for adults and young people.
Job Description:
1. To work as part of a team to positively promote Together 21 and Options, to encourage participation and take an active role in project development.
2. Plan and deliver a rolling programme of innovative and engaging activities for adults with physical and learning disabilities that is responsive to the needs and interests of members.
3. To support group members to develop their independence, skills, confidence, health and wellbeing.
4. Bring enthusiasm, warmth and patience to project activities and sessions.
5. Be a named key person for members of the Options day service.
6. Support volunteers and students to develop skills and confidence.
7. To complete relevant paperwork required for service delivery including risk assessments, progress monitoring and personal action plans.
8. To ensure relevant project data is collected and collated.
9. To work with families, professionals and other partners as required, in support of the project.
General:
- To uphold PCP’s Core Values at all times.
- To comply with PCP’s policy & procedures, including safeguarding (adults and children) and other compliance procedures.
- To assist marketing and engagement work and use creative techniques to gather views from the communities we support.
- To actively take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and ensuring procedures are adhered to.
- To collate appropriate monitoring and evaluation information to support the achievement of agreed targets and outcomes within the project or service.
- To carry out all responsibilities in line with the organisation’s Equality & Diversity Policy.
- To recruit, support, train and motivate volunteers as required.
- To undertake any training and development deemed appropriate.
- To undertake any such duties required by your Senior Manager or PCP Chief Executive.
