The Repeal Bill Alliance, is hosting a half-day round table discussion to help voluntary and community organisations examine Brexit's impact on fundamental rights and standards as well as the wider implications for civil society.
The event will be an opportunity to express thoughts and concerns about Brexit's impact on rights and standards. Our goal is to bring civil society and relevant stakeholders together to network and share information about the EU Withdrawal Bill. This bill has created both uncertainty and opportunities for the protections of fundamental rights, EU-derived environmental principles and the devolution settlements- to name but a few. We want to make sure civil society has an opportunity to express their voice with this significant piece of legislation.
The Repeal Bill Alliance, an alliance of over 80 advocacy, campaign and civil society groups, has been working collectively following the publication of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill to make sure that civil society organisations understand the process and what is entailed as we leave the EU and are able to best advocate and articulate their interests as the Repeal Bill makes its way through parliament.
