We are here to support, promote and develop voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough

Stronger Communities Middlesbrough Choir

Over the summer, three new songs have been written by local community groups in Middlesbrough, bringing communities together.

The songs all experience memories of either growing up - or arriving for the first time - in Middlesbrough, featuring Albert Park. They have all been arranged ready for a community scratch choir to come and sing the songs at the Middlesbrough Mela on 18 August 2019.

We have begun recruiting for choir members to join the free choir. No prior singing experience needed! Whether you already enjoying singing in a choir, or always wanted to have a go, now is your chance.

The will be three rehearsals to learn the songs, facilitated by singer-songwriter Sam Slatcher, followed by the performance at the Middlesbrough Mela on Sunday 18th August 2019. They will take place:

Friday 19th July at 10am - 12pm, Creative Factory #BrilliantlyBoro (Unit 7,8,9 – 15 - 19 Dunkerque Mall, Hillstreet Centre, Middlesbrough, TS1 1TA)

Friday 26th July at 6 - 8pm, Newport Settlement Community Hub

Friday 2nd August at 1 - 3pm, Creative Factory #BrilliantlyBoro (Unit 7,8,9 – 15 - 19 Dunkerque Mall, Hillstreet Centre, Middlesbrough, TS1 1TA)

18th August 10 - 1pm (Albert Park - Rehearsal & Performance)
